We had our interview as one of three finalists for the Equestrian Business Awards on Wednesday night. It was a full team effort and we hope we passed muster and didn’t let any of our wonderful nominators down.
We received an Email this morning and the whole team has been blown away: We know we truly care about you and your horses but we were so touched by your nominations. It takes trust and honesty, to help a young business grow and develop and that support from yourselves has blown both Lucy and myself away. Thank you.

- I’m a farrier and I have worked with Little Rock on multiple occasions and they are by far the best equine practice I have worked with
- Shelley has helped me so much with my injured horse and has always have great advice. My horse has did her DDFT and whenever we needed Shelley she immediately came out. Couldn’t say one bad thing about the practice, everyone is lovely.

- Little Rock Equine Vets go above and beyond. Nothing is to much trouble. They treat every horse that they care for as if they were their own. Customer service is outstanding. Little Rock really is an outstanding vet practice.
- Shelley and her team are absolutely amazing, they constantly give a 10* service. From Shelley herself to the girls in the office they are all absolutely fantastic. I’m proud to be a Little Rock customer. Last year was an extremely tough year for me and my young mare, Shelly was there all the way. Daily check-ins , everything was done to the best, to give the best care to my mare, always there at the end of the phone for advice and support. As a vet and a previous horse owner herself. The girls in the office are also fantastic, every few months I get texts about when my mare is due for dental/vaccines Visits and there is always a polite happy to help voice on the end of the phone. Her and her whole team 1000% deserve vet practice of the year and I’m sure all her customers would agree! – I shall never be able to truly thank Shelley and her team.
- The most dedicated practice I’ve ever known, always on the end of the phone night or day. Just the best, wouldn’t and couldn’t go anywhere else
- The team show great care for the horses and their humans! When my horse was unwell I was also out of action with covid, knowing that Shelly and her team were working with the yard owners to look after my boy was a great relief! Thank you!
- The team are always so helpful, informative and most of all compassionate not just with the horses but with the humans too. They are horsey people and it shows. Theirs is a personal but professional touch when you have a visit or a call from anyone in the team. Going above and beyond wish we had found shelly and the rest of the little rock team sooner.
- Little Rock have been brilliant with my three horses. So knowledgeable and approachable. After many years of being unhappy with my local vet, once I changed to Little Rock I knew straight away I had made the right decision. A well deserved nomination!

- Couldn’t recommend them enough, they go to the end of the earth to help, I lost one of my horses 8 months ago and how Shelly handled the situation I can’t thank her enough! She tried her very best to get my horse back to health but unfortunately she had a lot of problems and this last time couldn’t be helped. The empathy that she shows she is not just a vet her love for animals is second to none.

- Treats my cheeky little highland pony like she is an absolute queen. She has an absolute love of the breed and I know she gets the best treatment from a vet that knows her and her breed well and just like she would want her own pony to be treated. Incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, kind and straightforward. There’s no faff. Just honesty, kindness and compassion and a genuine love of horses et al.
- Lucy has dealt with my horse on more occasions than I can count and she has always done the most fantastic job. She treats Goofy like he is her own and I will be forever grateful for all she does for us. She is always a phone call away, be that at 8pm or 2am. I know she will always be there when I need her.
- They are amazing vets who not only look after our horses but look after us too when we are at our lowest
- Little Rock are a superb ambulatory practice. They are personable and attentive to your needs as an owner but more importantly the level of expertise and genuine heartfelt care that has been delivered to my ponies has been outstanding. The advice is concise and to the point and the aftercare is superb. It is also great to have a technician working alongside the vet when required, something that I have not come across before and something that was so greatly appreciated whilst my mare had an operation under general anaesthetic at home. A simply brilliant practice that deserves recognition.
- Both Shelley and Lucy and all the team at Little Rock go above and beyond with all that they do, whether that’s getting our horses back on the road and supporting us when things aren’t going to plan. Having lost my horse through extremely difficult circumstances last year there’s no other vets I would’ve wanted by my side through that difficult time and we’re always at the end of the phone for support night and day.
