Equine Veterinary Surgeon (Equine Only)
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 inc OOH stipend (DOE) – 📍 Staffordshire | Fully Ambulatory Practice – full or part time

Little Rock Equine Vets is a proudly independent, equine-only practice with a small but highly capable team. We are fully ambulatory, allowing you to work your cases up thoroughly in the field, with support readily available, without the pressure to refer everything into a clinic.
We offer clinical freedom with strong backing, enabling you to become the equine vet you want to be.
Fully Mobile, Fully Supported
You’ll work from a fully equipped veterinary van, including: Ultrasound, Digital X-ray, Motorised dental equipment, Gastroscope and Endoscope.
Support on the road comes from: An experienced and approachable veterinary team, A highly organised and supportive office team, Skilled horse handlers who assist with more challenging patients and situations
What We Offer
- Salary commensurate with experience
- 4-day week (8:30–5)
- 1 night/week on call, 1 in 4 weekends (quiet OOH)
- Paid overtime + OOH stipend
- Extra paid time off at Christmas (outside annual leave)
- Unlimited CPD, profit sharing & flexible working
Our location offers the best of both worlds — close to the Peak District, with Manchester approximately 60 minutes away and London around 90 minutes.
What We’re Looking For
- Equine-only vet with 2+ years’ experience, VetGDP completed, proactive, team-focused, and still enjoys being an equine vet.
- Someone who enjoys being part of a supportive, collaborative team.
